Residents in supported sheltered houses live independently, but with peace of mind that there is someone on hand to support them with a friendly chat, home cooked meals and support with daily chores.

Houses are family style in design and accommodate 7 to 10 older people.

A purpose built care home, Palmerston has been designed for older people who have personal care needs and specialises in care for those living with dementia. There are 39 resident rooms.

Benefits of This Type of Housing?

Ensuite rooms with a seated access shower and motion sensors to provide automatic light when entered.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with furniture, mementoes, and other personal items.

Communal lounges, dining rooms and other seating areas.

Magical Memory Garden and outdoor "garden rooms" provide specially designed themed reminiscence areas.

A staff team trained to use various models of dementia care to enable residents to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives.

This is unfurnished, general needs housing and there is no support worker attached to the scheme.
